We’re certainly missing a May Pole for the Spring Dance but we encourage everyone to let loose and boogie on at our cafe if that is your heart’s desire

MONDAY
Jazz colonies is a monthly original jazz night held on the third monday of every month at SPACE. Three groups per night will present their artistic visions. No more working for the man, we play for the people! SGD 10 at the door for the musicians! Featuring Tim O’dwyer, Free Jazz Unity Naz and the Brown Sugar.

WEDNESDAY
blinkBL-NK is a space where regular people share their expertise about fascinating subjects in a social environment. Our events are built around 15 – 20 minute talks on subjects ranging from cutting-edge issues in technology and business to quirky histories, weird science and enriching cultural experiences. Speakers may be leading experts, distinguished hobbyists or simply great story tellers. Interludes between talks are spiced up by carefully curated musical selections.  This week, we talk about Art Therapy, how to be your own Financial Guru and Reflections on 40 yrs of painting. 7pm onwards @ Space

And maybe during the interludes or if you’re feeling like some cool, chilled muzak – head on to LOUNGE from 9pm onwards while DJ Divine keeps it coming with great Reggae mixes!

THURSDAY
Ayaschool BeeBop is back – the 3rd installation of this wonderful session of creativity – jazz done bee bop style – vocal free. Come check it out! 9pm onwards @ Cafe. Featuring: Andrew Lim(gt), Aya(pn), Andrew Klein(bs) and Soh Wen Ming(dr)

And if you’re feeling a little more active, our weekly Lindy Hop session is ON @ Lounge. Headed by the good people from Jitterbugs Dance School – this is a night of true revelry! 8:30pm onwards

FRIDAY
Our crazzeeee bassist – Willy and friends are back with some jazz and soul mixture, guaranteed to move you to groove. 9:30pm onwards, we’re doing this down low at the cafe from 9:30pm onwards

SATURDAY
Ayaschool rocks their way back into our saturdays with her wonderful, kooky friends – We don’t talk about her music because it’s understood. Nothing short of greatness. 9:30pm onwards @ Cafe

@ Lounge – 2 boys and a sexy penguin in a mad house making love to minimal, tech house and techno. electrocaine’s music junkies/soundaholic/hommies will help you float back down to earth. you don’t have to sleep you know, there’s no law. featuring: ej missy meddling with the the arcane subdivision of techno, she’ll be stripping all the extraneous sound so you could hear all the subtle details – shifts in tempo, melodic phrases, textural effects – magnified a hundredfold. It’s equally cerebral and physical. avneesh takes it up a notch with the techier and funkier sound of techno, he’ll elevate your mind, spreading synths and intricate beats to form patterns in your heads. get a good spot and dance to it.
artihc will continue rolling out the tougher and bouncier spectrum of minimal and techno, without making you bang your head on the wall (or each other). clean, introspective music for discerning and extroverted foot soldiers. yes, you. to make it more decadently tuneful, we’ll bring you new elements into play: delicate melodies, vocals, classical piano, jazz twangs, house tones and percussions, to create something much closer, in spirit, to the mischievous warmth of other dance music genres that you probably are more familiar with. this is your heart-felt rhythmic techno night. feel it.

Peace Out!
