Greg Lyon’s Quartet helps close your week with some cool jazz and hot tempos for some soul liftin’. 9:30pm onwards @ Cafe.

9pm onwards @ Lounge – DJ Garuda, DJ Ritz, DJ Syafii and DJ Nad-trix walk the line up this Friday to the 2nd Floor under the Good Times Label.

“Good Times” is a unique event produced by BEDSTY MUSIC, where everybody is invited to let their guard down, shimmy on to good old school tunes, funky breaks, and boogie into the night as we up the tempo and beat.

“Good Times” is all for a night out with your best mates, filled with zany incidents and crazy antics. We invite you to rock up to a night where you are the master of the dance floor. We’ll clear a space for you to bust your signature moves. The night will feature a progressive mix of old school hiphop, breaks, electro, minimal, house, dubstep, dnb and jungle provided by your favorite DJs..

9pm onwards @ Space – Angelina – our resident belly dancer, shimmies on up some eclectic middle eastern fusion dance moves with her killer costumes – enter Space for a different sort of dance trip.

There was something about last week where everyone just seemed to gravitate towards parties or maybe because the music is excellent!

While we are chillin’ throughout the week, we promise that the party vibes are turned to the max over the weekend.

27th March – Fri

Greg Lyon’s Quartet our resident band whips up a wicked mix for us this Friday. Darren Moore on drums, Casey Subramaniam on bass, Mel Sheum on organ (!) and, naturally, Greg Lyon on sax. Those shoes will not stop from a-tappin’ so shake off the week’s work blues and join us for a jumpin’ night out. Starts from 9:30pm @ Cafe.

13 Strong – The Pushin’On monthly rolls by with some massive guests. The Lion City Orchestra, who debuted last month with a new line-up, returns with 90 mins of rare covers and their new single, “You Ain’t Ready”. This is “live” funk and soul in Singapore, only at Pushin’On.

On the decks, residents Shellsuit and Chunk will hold it down. And we’ve invited a man who was one of the first to bring funk and soul to Singapore dancefloors. DJ NDC returns for one night only. Its hard to lock this man down, but if you keep on dancing, he’ll keep on pushin’.

It’s another crazy set on Sat night @ Cafe but this time with Richard Jackson on vocals, Bani on Bass, Shawn Letts on Keys and the charismatic Floods on drums. Ayaschool is going to Japan for a well deserved break but this team will be no less rockin’! Set starts from 9:30pm @ Cafe (1st flr)

A celebration of Singapore’s best belly dancers, best because of their passion and dedication – this month, we see new performers contributing their items individually and in groups. This night is a celebration of women – earthy, loving, passionate. Dance your heart out sistas!

Special mini-showcase from our talented trio – Jamilla, Maia and Ayana – they promise something new, something hot and something surprising! Hafla starts from 9pm @ Space (3rd Flr)

It’s a rainy start to the week and what better way to chill out and enjoy the cool weather with a cocktail in hand under the blu jaz awning. Our special this week – just cos Jean has just created it not too long ago – is our expresso martini – a bit of buzz with the right amount of caffeine. Don’t drink too much and go all hyper on us, you hear?

Richard Jackson, Casey and Bobby Singh guest stars in Ayaschool! The foursome will wine and dine you with their brand of rhythm and blues – watch out for insane solos by Ms Aya Sekine on keyboard! 9pm onwards @ Cafe.

Mutant Dub takes centrestage @ Blu Jaz Lounge from 9pm onwards with their bi-monthly event. This time they have gone off kilter and are bringing to you a debut live set from their very own homegrown Izaak Stern! If you like Dilla, Flying Lotus, Prefuse 73, DO NOT MISS THIS!

Ayaschool – craaaaaazzzyyyy Aya (and we LOVE her) and gang continues to get our butts of our chairs for some great boogie to her brand of jazz – mixed with some funky rhythms – she always throws in a surprise or two. 9:30pm @ Cafe

44Beatz return this month with a cool start of Clark’s selection of Acid Jazz, before easing into some nice Tech House, building things up a little and handing the controls over to his partner in crime for the night Reiki. From there on in things should really heat up as Reiki primes the floor with Fidget House and Electro – 9pm @ Lounge (2nd Flr)

2nd March – 7th March

Spring is almost in the air, never mind that it’s purely psychological in Singapore but we do get seasons – rainy and not so rainy. Kick start your weeek with Omniform after a weekend of rain – join us at our patio TONIGHT (Monday) for the grooviest 10pc band. This is the real thing: Expression, Improvisation, Sophistication and gut-level, finger-popping, in-the-pocket GROOVE!

The band features the latest A-team evolution of Andrew Lim on guitar, Casey Subramaniam on bass, Darren Moore on drums, Greg Lyons, Tim O’Dwyer and Fabian Lim on saxes, Leo Jeoh and Fredi Sonderegger on trombones, Dan Wong on trumpet and Annabel Chew on flute.

We feature a new kid on the block – well not so new, DJ Franco has played in Europe and our local joints and debuts at Blu Jaz Space this Saturday from 10pm onwards. (we’re closed for private function, kiddos till then) Join us for quite an eclectic soundscape as DJ Franco not only mixes it but produces his own sweet notes.
