It’s a night of swing music for the dancers and the wannabes, while the rest of you get a taste of some darker magic with Danny, our favorite illusionist. For all who enjoy improv jazz and some killer saxaphone solos, don’t miss Greg Lyons Quartet this Friday. It’s a talented mix when Greg and friends play. 9:30pm onwards @ Cafe

So this is the night and Aya has something freaky planned out – it’s all in the air, she says. The line up kicks a55 with Mohd Noor on percussion, Casey Subramaniam (bass), both Aya and Christine Sham keys – wonder if there’ll be a piano duel between the ladies. And these lovely peeps are all celebrating their birthdays with us, so join us ofr a night of mayhem. 9:30pm onwards @ Cafe
44 Beatz is throwing a party and that means you! Having fallen off various bandwagons we thought we’d hitch a ride on the… Halloween stage coach. Excuse the cheap mask and puerile green fonts all over the flyer. Pumpkins make good soup. There are no such things as ghosts, you live you die. Thats it. Don’t fear fictitious entities.

Music Transcends Boundaries – A SMU effort to raise funds for Operation Smile. 7pm – 10pm
Project Cleft is a not-for-profit student-initiated project, led by an independent team of Singapore Management University SMU) Undergraduates, which aims to bring awareness and attention to the plight of children with facial deformities, namely those who suffer from the Cleft Lip/Palates medical condition.
Our objectives are to promote student development through the Malay arts and raise publicity for our beneficiary, Operation Smile, through the sale and promotion of a new and exclusive Malay song album.

We’re mostly relaxed and every now and then, crazy, off-our-rockers in the fun sort of way. This week – no different – which is why you guys keep coming back (we think)Â – great food, inspiring music and friendly staff (we never said perfect, just friendly )
One of my highlights was having the benefit of catching a last minute jam session by ELEVATE last Friday. A 6 – 8 man band doing some soul, gospel and paraodies of pop hits. Visitors from New Zealand dropped by and went through some 15 hits from Britney to Jason Mraz in jazz.
TUESDAY
Grooveworks call out to all you lovely folks dining to stay back for a glass or two while they serenade you. 9pm onwards @ Space (3rd Flr)
WEDNESDAY
A different set of musicans hold court @ Cafe from 9pm onwards under Greg Lyons’ lead – Grooveworks – same same, but different.
DJ Divine faithfully brings about REGGAE for this week night and invites you to chill out with him from 9pm onwards @ Lounge

It’s magic dance day again with the Jitterbugs dancers taking over the dance floor – friendly -like, and giving you the chance to try Lindy Hop from 7;30pm onwards. While you’re listening to the sounds of the 1930s, give Danny-o a chance to dazzle you with smooth hands as he is our resident close up illusionist.

Time really flies at times, especially when the voice in the head whispers that you should attend all the brill acts upcoming @ Blu Jaz.
TONIGHT - MONDAY
THE ORIGINS. truly. originals. well, maybe some covers but you know, they rock. And what better way to spend the Monday after work hours, but to sip on some great martinis and relax into the sounds of professional music makers. 9pm onwards @ Cafe
TUESDAY and WEDNESDAY
Grooveworks does their practicas on Tues @ Space from 9pm onwards and woo us on the first floor (Cafe) from 9pm onwards on Wed. They be an eclectic mix, tutlelage under Greg Lyons and some of the more regular members are Keith who is a rockstar on bass and Freddi who rules the trombone in the classical arena, so hear them with their own Jazz interpretations.
WEDNESDAY
DJ Divine plays our steadfast Reggae lover and will spin for all the lovelies up there residing @Lounge. Set commences from 9pm onwards, so don’t stand up this charming gentleman.
THURSDAY
Magic Swing Fling is back. Danny returns with more tricks up his sleeves (GET IT?! ok corniness is allowed for the Queen of the written word) while the Lindy Hoppers entice all to the dance floor with a complimentary Lindy Hop Class from 7:30pm @ Cafe before DJ Sing spins those roaring 20s hits.
FRIDAY
The cats are out to play with Greg Lyon’s Quartet bringing you with great improvisational jazz along with some familiar hits… 9:30pm onwards @ Cafe – an outstanding set as always.
Dustpan Recordings featuring Ian boast one of the best House mixes in town and they will bring up the tempo this Friday @ Lounge from 9pm onwards. Grooving body mandatory.
A bout of world music featuring Casey and Noor @ Space means that music repertoire is a surprise but a definite pleasure it would be. 9:30pm onwards.
SATURDAY
With Aya helming the set, we promise it to be crazy but with Budi present this Sat – our cafe might just burst with all that energy. Ayaschool presents Uan-Abang (and boy does this kid’s fingers move!) and Bobby the one-and-only Singh on percussions, Budi on vox (can someone say sexy?!) and Mario Lopez on bass… ooh lala. 9:30pm onwards @ Cafe
And it’s Hip Hop night @ Blu Jaz Lounge with just a tad of soul and funk. DJ Divine returns and displays his other music passion. For those who can’t wait be shakin’, trippin’, breakin’ and poppin’ – this is your night. 9pm onwards @ Lounge

With the start of Autumn means a cooler reprieve for us hot cats lounging in Singapore and apart from our talented regular shows, we will be bringing you music collaboration that spans Progressive House/Trance, hip hop to live indie music acts.
MONDAY
It’s the first Monday of the month and Greg’s massive (and very enthuiastic) band – OMNIFORM is here to woo and enthrall us with their resplendent sound. 9pm onwards @ Cafe
WEDNESDAY
Groovework jams @ Cafe from 9pm onwards. Students of jazz but masters of other genres of music – from classical to rock, they gather under the tutelage of Greg Lyons to give us music to our ears
THURSDAY
The Lindy Hoppers are swinging out in full force this Thursday with Teacherbug – Sing, conducting a complimentary class at 7:30pm for the virgins or the rusty feet. DJ Sing and DJ Brian plays dancers’ favorite thereafter.
FRIDAY
Fuse Collective featuring Muhd Noor on drums, Fendi on vox, Munir on Guitar and Casey on Bass means that you are guaranteed a good time this Friday. The boys are individually loaded with talent and comes with accolades from numerous performances. And when they come together, it’s BOOM! 9:30pm @ Cafe
Pushin’ On grabs the Lion City Orchestra after a hiatus and are ready to PUMP IT UP. It’s a rev up to 150km/hr from the first note and their infectious energy render all within earshots into a spellbinding frenzy. 9:30pm onwards
Sawadee-ka! Our Thai friends are back with their amateur Thai rock band – expect items from romantic ballads to compositions tributed to INXS, Bon Jovi and the likes. It’s a Thai cultural night with good music. 9pm onwards
SATURDAY
A very special set with KoFlow on turntables to add in electro beats and some unique sounds to AYASCHOOL’s jazz-like repertoire. Aya on keys, Clement on bass and Bobby Singh on drums – funky, new, different and … FUN! 9:30pm onwards @ Cafe
Blu Jaz Lounge will entertain these young DJs from COOP where progressive trance and house rule the floor. Expect some minimal sets thrown in to start off before they turn up the bass. 9pm onwards @ Lounge
