It’s a party…. what is? WE are! :) It’s a drinks party, a dinner party, a party just for you and your friends. This week @ Blu Jaz:

Monday

The last evening the talented Quinzy Band is playing in Singapore… all the way from Canada, catch their original songs performed by 4 very very accomplished young gents. 9pm onwards @ Cafe

Tuesday and Wednesday

Faithfully and surely, we’re wooed by the interesting sounds of jazz by Grooveworks. Led by Greg Lyons, he brings his students (all professional musicians in other genres of music) to new heights. 9pm onwards. Tues @ Space, Wed @ Cafe

Thursday

Swing Fling! Dance Dance Dance! but it’s not the revolution.. it’s better and more fun, a night of Lindy Hop brought to you by Jitterbugs. 7:30pm onwards for free lesson and jam away with us from 8:30pm onwards

Friday

Greg Lyons and his crew are in DA HOUSE. you hear? The haunting notes from his sax coupled by the whimsical rhythms of the percussion make friday nigths @ Blu Jaz just right. 9:30pm @ Cafe

Good Times July! It IS the first Friday of the month and this means that Good Times RULE Lounge… The night will feature a progressive mix of old school hiphop, breaks, electro, minimal, house, dubstep, dnb and jungle provided by your favorite DJs…

They be clearing the floor for you to bust your signature moves. 9pm @ Lounge

Featuring: DJ Rough, DJ Ash and DJ Fats

And we see the return of the amazing duo: Muhd Noor and Shawn Letts – between the 2 of them, they cover more then half dozen instruments to bring some sweeet sounds to SPACE. A huge influence from Africa, Latin America and even the Middle East, they bring the world sounds to our top floor. From 9:30pm onwards.

Saturday

dum dum dum dum… drumroll pleaseeeeeee – AYASCHOOL presents.. a night of mayhem with Ms Sekine on keyboard, driving her group and audience to frenzy over her cool music with more than a dose of passion. 9:30pm onwards @ Cafe

And serving a different music fare @ Lounge is RiceMagnet – all the way from Hong Kong and Taipei – it’s all about folk rock. Crossing continents, the band’s sound has been accordingly influenced by a range of alternative/indie/rock artists, with the resulting sound a blend of Red Hot Chili Peppers meets Wu Bai & China Blue.

RICEMAGNET consists of Yi-Ching Chung on guitar and lead vocals and David Ma on guitar, bass and vocals, both of whom have extensive performing experience.

The band has performed in a number of established indie music venues in both Taipei and Hong Kong, including The UnderWorld, The Living Room and The Riverside in Taipei, and the Fringe Club, The Wanch, The Cavern, Peel Fresco Music Lounge, joyce is not here, MegaBox, TST Gateway and Le Rideau in Hong Kong. 9:30pm @ Lounge
