It was a looonnngg weekend that didn’t feel quite long enough. Work calls on Monday but today there is no need to feel the blues. Pump it up this week with OMNIFORM TONIGHT!
For those of you in Singapore – and who need reminding – it’s the Omniform night of the month at Blu Jaz Cafe tonight – Monday May 4th.
Our drummer Darren Moore (Daz) is back in the chair after a short walk-about episode in research-degree limbo. Also featured are the other 9 expressive components of the expressive unity Omniform: Tim O’Dwyer on bari sax, Andrew Lim on guitar, Casey Subramaniam on bass, Greg Lyons on tenor/soprano sax, Fabian Lim on alto sax, Annabel Chew on flute, Dan Wong on trumpet, Fredi Sonderegger and Leo Jeoh on trombones.
Kick-off is at 9pm for 2 toe-tapping sets that wind up around 11.30.
And for the rest of the week – come chill with us to recover or just store up some great energy for another long weekend.
Friday
Greg Lyon’s Quartet, our resident band, struts their sound with some great jazz classics as well as their improv notes. Set starts at 9:30pm @ Cafe (1st Flr)
Saturday
If you’re not up for crazy clubbing hours but still need a bit of zing in our weekend, remember to drop by for Ayaschool from 9:30pm onwards @ Cafe (1st Flr). We guarantee more than feet tapping but some wild moves inspired by our band!
