Sometimes it’s good to savour, in the present, what is given. Rain has been our constant companion for the weekend, and perhaps, like me, you would like to take the opportunity to let your thoughts flow. So come on down tonight, with live music accompanying that drink and yourself while you reminisce, plan or even plot.

TUESDAY – presenting TROPIC GREEN - fresh from the Samui Interanational Jazz Festival – catch this lively crew @ Space for a mere $10 ticket. 9pm onwards

WEDNESDAYMATRIX JAM is in the house – Lounge that is – complete, as usual, with great a jamming session. Be you musician or spectator, join the crew for a night of exploration. 9pm onwards. And if you think laughter is the best medication – let’s see if the talents of TALKING COCK COMEDY by Comedy Club Asia can seal and deliver. $10 at the door and gags start at 9pm.

THURSDAY – It’s a battle, a fight – bard to bard – The Comedy Pimp presents Fight Comic – An improvised comedy slam with 6 contenders on stage. Doors open at 8pm and fight starts at 9pm. $10 for entry.

FRIDAY – The weekend brings good things and we start off with NEO SOUL - featuring the lovely Alicia Pan on vox, Willy Gathright on bass, Bonnie De Souza on keys and Teo Jia Rong on drums. R&B, soul to jazz, this girl will be sure to knock your socks off. 9:30pm onwards @ Cafe. And, of course, another hot babe takes center stage after Neo Soul’s first set – Angelina brings Middle Eastern Dance right to you from 10:30pm.
Friday nights just got MORE dancey at Blu Jaz Lounge – from the folks that brought you Pushin’On and Turn Up the Heat!, HOT DAMN! is all about the familiar re-edits of funk, disco and hip-hop. Edits that are being revived by a new generation of DJs & producers; inspired by the past awesome and motivated by an open-minded dancefloor. A generation that rocks its own way beyond the radar of EDM and beats.
Requiem Rising takes place @ Space and it’s a dance floor for those who wanna boogie. 9:30pm onwards @ Space. SGD 20 at the door.

SATURDAY – Ayaschool teams up with Badu Lab with Michaela Therese on vox – be ready to have your soul soothed by Michaela’s voice – capable of rendering a poignant wisp of the blues and then jerking you out of your reverie without a warning, when she belts out a classic rock standard. 9:30pm onwards @ Cafe.
Requiem Rising goes back to back with Franco Reyes on decks. $20 at the door @ Space.
