UPDATE!
Sat – LOUNGE - 2nd flr!
1306 and 44 Beatz is back for another monthly soiree at Blu Jaz down on Bali Lane. June’s gig finds them on the 2nd Floor with a spruced up sound system and a big bag of tunes. Get set for another eclectic set from Raeburn J as he takes control at 9pm and spins an uplifting, soul fueled mix of Acid Jazz and electronica.
Clark takes to the decks around 11pm for a few hours, moving us into deeper, hi-tech and experimental territory whilst keeping with that new jazz vibe.
Late on Music Makers play back to back n finish the night off with whatever feels right and fits your mood. Could be techno , could be electro or breaks. Last month it was drum n bass and that was fun!

We have a ton of visitors dropping by and we’re jumping jelly beans all about them! We had Quinzy Band from Canada on Monday and we’re sure to see more of them soon @ Blu Jaz while they’re in Singapore and our neighbours from the Philippines – Mike’s Apartment – will be hanging loose @ Space this Saturday. A little slip of information for the next week – David Ma and friends from Hong Kong will be jazzing up our spot next week!
So here is the rundown, kiddies!
Tues and Wed – Grooveworks take their spot @ Space on Tues from 9pm onwards with some more smooth grooves (geddit?) and we juggle things up a little and have them trasversing to Cafe on Wed from 9pm onwards with a different set of jazz sets.
Thursday – Swing Fling greets us at the doors of Cafe from 7:30pm onwards with free lindy hop lesson from the teacherbugs of Jitterbugs. So if you’re looking for an excuse to try a new dance, look no further. We start jammin’ from 8:30pm onwards
Friday – A new band combi beckons you with fast fingers Md Noor on percussion, Munir on bass and Fendi on vox. This is a trio not just to watch but to smooze and jive with. 9:30pm onwards @ Cafe
Saturday – We, of course, by tradition, end the week with some LOCO locals, namely, Ayaschool @ Cafe from 9:30pm onwards. This week sees Lauren Munguia on flute/vocal, Robert Nalin on drums and Aya on keys.
And our touring friends from Philippines, bring us some new funk/soul sounds – featuring Mike’s Apartment @ Space (from 10pm onwards)
