THURSDAY
Feet a jumpin’ with the Lindy Hop Dancers and Lovers from Jitterbugs Swingapore as they bring some suave moves to even the ones with 2 left feet. 8:30pm onwards

FRIDAY
It’s a birthday and the party in question IS the party. Pushin’ ON turns 3 with us and has killer live bands and DJ mixes on both floors. 9pm onwards @ LOUNGE AND SPACE - check their FB for details.

Fuze Collective woos us with some mellow sexy voice of Fendi before bringing in some funk and soul when it get dark into the night. 9:30pm onwards @ Cafe

SATURDAY
Get crazy with Aya and fall in love with her and her crew with such raw talents, you never want another on a Saturday night. 9:30pm onwards

Diggin’ Deep spins out some deep sexy house – from their hearts to your feet. Dance on! 9pm onwards

Jazz colonies is a monthly original jazz night held on the third monday of every month @ SPACE. Three groups per night will present their artistic visions. We are really honoured to host the closing of CHOPPA Festival!  CHOPPA FESTIVAL 2010 celebrates 3 years as Singapore’s longest running experimental music institution! Every month the CHOPPA series showcases local and international experimental music, keeping the underground alive and healthy in sultry Singapore. CHOPPA FESTIVAL 2010 will not only be featuring the tightest Singaporean talent but artists from Asia, USA, Europe and Australia. The highlights for the 2010 festival includes:

Ian Rapien (sax) from NYC  – He was a featured international artist for opening of 7ate9 – the new(old) kid on the block at esplanade). One and only, and FIRST time at ayaschool, Christy Smith on ‘Fender’(he specifically use this to call his electric bass) and King of ayaschool, Mohamed Noor on drums. We’re gonna play some killer groove Jazz!

And for those craving a little electro in their menu for the evening – please proceed without rush to LOUNGE where COUP dishes out their lurrvee of electronic dance music, They are fiends, each possessing his/her own deadly arsenal of beats, hooks, basslines and the works. The Winds are here again

November and December are months with unruly winds and almost predictable daily rainfalls… Despite the banks’ troubles and palpable excitement of the US elections, Blu Jaz strives to give you the promise of stability: the stable cocktail of yummy food for the body and music for our soul.
Omniform performed Monday as usual from 9pm onwards to whip up a jazz storm.

Groove Works once again polish their skills as jazz musicians, mind you, they are ALL professional musicians but new to the performing world of jazz. Wednesday, 5th Nov. 9pm
Blue Print takes the 3rd Level @ Space on Thursday, 6th Nov,  with their acoustic sounds of renditions of popular songs from early 90s till present. 8:30pm onwards. Need a little more energy? Lila Drums returns after a month’s break with Africa Djembe night on the 1st Level @ Cafe. 9pm onwards

Kyoko returns for Bellydance Night at the 3rd Level @ Space on Friday, 7th Nov from 9:30pm onwards. So if you need a little escape from the modern work, step into our little Cairo, at least for that night. And if you want to dance up a storm, GOOD TIMES is back with a feature of progressive mix of old school hiphop, breaks, electro, minimal, house dubstep, dnb and jungle provided by your favorite DJs on the 2nd Level @ Lounge. Greg’s Monster Trio woos the audience with more jazz and improvisations on the 1st Level @ Cafe.

And to close off the week @ Blu Jaz, we have Aya and the Wicked Boys taking the regular slot on the 1st Level @ Cafe. No matter how many times you hear them, you just need to come back for more. 9:30pm onwards.
