Welcome to 2012 – we hope you have enjoyed your break for as long as we have, ours!

It’s regular favorites with Matrix Jam @ Lounge on WEDNESDAY where you can hear great music. A veritable jam session where musicians just drop by to participate, tap their feet or enjoy the relaxed vibe of the evening. 9pm onwards.

We have a special band this FRIDAY gracing our stage: INDIGO, featuring Dawn on vox, Munir on bass, Wan ABang on drums and Aya on keys! 9:30pm onwards – a lethal combination of massive talents and good looks all around.
If it’s a party that you are still hankering after, GOOD TIMES returns! An intro for the NOOBS: the party is an unique event produced by BEDSTY PARTIES, where everybody is invited to let loose, and be treated to good old school tunes, funky breaks, and boogie into the night as we up the tempo and beat. Every month our favourite DJs will be dropping a quality mix of Breaks, Hip-Hop, Drum & Bass, Dubstep and everything in between. As always, entry is FREE, drinks are cheap and clothing is optional*. You bring the good vibes and we’ll settle the rest.

Come SATURDAY - AYASCHOOL mixed a rare combination to bring you some kick-a$$ tunes: Kerong on organ (a real treat!) , Wen Ming on drums and of course Aya on keys. 9:30pm onwards @ Cafe. If you feel the need to be soothed and reflect, head on up to LOUNGE with Noel Cabangon‘s acoustic performance with support from bands: KARRA and QUIVER - SGD 15 for entry and performance starts at 7pm.

That’s all for the first week of 2012, folks. Enjoy

And the ghouls and witches are lords and empresses this end week but we continue to roll out great cocktails and yummy dishes with friendly servers.

THURSDAY – it’s poetry slam night! Watch poets and spoken word artists perform their original poems over a 3-round competition. Poets are given 3 minutes to express themselves. Judges, who are randomly selected from the audience, then score the poems based on content, performance and audience reaction. Top scoring poets from each round will progress to the next. A sacrificial poet will kick off the competition to help the judges calibrate their scores. The Slam will be hosted by Arianna Pozzuoli and will feature guest poet Miriam Nash. Get on stage and Slam, or kick back, grab a drink and soak up the live action on stage @ Space from 7:30pm onwards

Cover charge: $7
Winner of the Slam will take home a $75 cash prize.

FRIDAY – It’s going to be a swaperoo with Aya this weekend when this most delightful, mischievous, talented musician plays on Friday! – Together with Casey on bass, Wen on drums and R. Jackson on vox – it’s going to be a smooth, sexy night. 9:30pm onwards @ Cafe
And of course being the LAST Friday of the month, the outstanding crew from Pushin’ On will be dealing us with the sweet, sassy, funky, ultra cool stuff – 9:30pm onwards @ BOTH Lounge and Space – come on up for some serious boogie music.

SATURDAY – Being in Singapore for over 6 years, Ireson, brings us some hot, thumpin’ Latin rhythms – shaken with some cool Jazz, and hey – we have Bossa Nova. 9:30pm onwards @ Cafe, it’s a treat not to be missed!
For those craving some bass – it’s eclectic electronica ranging from house to minimalist to techno and a whole dose of progressive. 44 Beats holds courts and plays ruler @ Lounge. 9:30pm onwards
