Come Wednesday, it’s Eddy’s Jam Session where he invites different musicians to jam with him. Fresh faces and new sounds every week, this night promises to rock out – jazz style, naturally. 9pm onwards @ Cafe. If you’re hankering to let your exhibitionistic self out to the general public, give STANDUP SINGAPORE a try. A comedy, open mic night up at SPACE. Entry is SGD 15 to support struggling artistes! 8pm onwards

And before you know it, FRIDAY comes around and we present a smorgasbord of music, commencing with ANNE WEERAPASS and friends for a soulful night. A dynamic voice complimented by talented playing, keys interlacing with beats – 9:30pm onwards – pure magic. Head on up to LOUNGE if you fancy a SOULSTRUT night – DJs spin out some electro fused with good ole fashion funk and soul. 9:30pm onwards

AYASCHOOL presents some new faces Junji Delfino from KL on vox, Christy Smith on bass, Soh Wen Ming on drums and, of course, Aya on keys. Some crooning, some acid sounds and some smooth tunes to carry you over to Sunday with a smile on your face. 9:30pm onwards. If you love minimal, then you should go on up to LOUNGE OR SPACE for “I luv Minimal” with a slew of happy fingered DJs.

It’s been a very loud weekend with the cars in circles and as the party glamour dust settles, we invite you to chill out in comfortable surroundings and personable service. However come mid-week, Eddy revives jam sessions and host an electrifying session with music galore to boot. It’s WEDNESDAY from 9pm @ Cafe, so come for dinner and stay for entertainment.

On THURSDAY, it’s Poetry Slam Night and all you word lovers, take the creative liberty of the English language to showcase your talent. Rap it, sing it, dramatize it – just come. And there is plenty of room for them audience too. So head on up to SPACE - from 8pm onwards.

The party on FRIDAY is bound to be uplifting to say the least as Pushin’on returns for the usual end of the month party. But what is not on our regular menu is the debut of the new covers – turning soul to latin. The Mighty Mighty ‘live’, house band of Pushin’On, continues a timeless tradition of funk nights around the world such as Motherfunk and Breakin’ Bread and they hit the 3rd floor of Blu Jaz (SPACE) with 2 sets of funk, soul and R&B. DJ KFC, Shellsuit, Chunk, Dave Code and Gonzo rule LOUNGE (2nd for of Blu Jaz) with hip-hop, disco, nu-funk, latin, jazz, swing, boogie and rockabilly. 9:30pm onwards. But if you’re feeling mellow – hang out at Cafe where dreamy-velvety-voiced FENDI leads on vocals of Fuze Collective. 9:30pm onwards.

AYASCHOOL rocks out @ Cafe on SATURDAY, figuratively at least, since they bring you cool jazz, smooth souls, hot tempos – all from 9:30pm onwards. And you don’t need to be a kid to play on this day, CHROAM blow up their party all the way up to SPACE - where they present some groovy tunes for you to nod your head to before you rev it up and head down to LOUNGE - where they claim the airways with their mix of banging’ electro beats. It’s the lovely Yvette Atienza on vox this FRIDAY with Jordan W on keys, Jase S on bass and Darryl E on drums. Jazz is on the menu with a dash of pop. 9:30pm @ Cafe. HEART of GLASS - DJs rule @ Lounge with some ambient as appetizer followed by a main course of indie music, taking you back to where it belongs. Expect loads of uncompromising beats & bleeps you don’t hear in a normal club… – it’s fine music pickin’ if you ask us. 8:30pm onwards.

Floods‘ a coming back with his crew as AYASCHOOL goes on break. It’s a wicked jam of jazz, funk and some cool improv. 9:30pm onwards @ Cafe this SATURDAY. Head on up to LOUNGE with 44 Beatz for an oasis of tech, house if you’re feeling parched. The dosage is strong and steady and will keep on going from 9:30pm.

IRESON comes on into Blu Jaz Cafe on FRIDAY. Founded by Alina and Marion in 1991, they’ve grown from the Salsa band to include jazzy pieces and will be sure to give us a lively Bossa Nova set. DJs and bands – performing never heard before collaborations all geared towards one common mission.. Good Times! And there is no warm up, we start with SIXX kicking things off proper at 9pm sharp! This is the fifth installment of this urban music night where the CHROAM boys draw on their experience of the London club scene to serve up an eclectic mix of sounds from the 70’s through to the here and now. Rare grooves, Funk, UK garage, deep soulful house, Hip/Hop – you’ll find it all at this ‘house’ party. 9pm onwards. STRETCH It IS a short work week – even for us and we welcome the reprieve like thirsted man to water. What’s happening this week? Well TONIGHT - we have Eddy leading a jam session @ Cafe from 8:30pm onwards – even if you’re not going to jump on stage, hang back and let them musicians entertain.

Our Deep House DJ, M. Simon, is back – with more sexy grooves to tide THURSDAY over to the weekend. 9pm onwards @ Lounge. Find a corner, go ahead – lounge.

We’ve got a new group to croon out those jazzy tunes – The Take Off Cafe – Smooth and chilled – 9:30pm onwards @ Cafe on FRIDAY . May also marks the 3rd Anniversary of GOOD TIMES and this makes for a damn good excuse for us to hold a bigger, badder party. They’ve brought back three of their fave selectors from Singapore and beyond. Topping the bill, we’ve got Darren Dubwise from Syndicate crew. Expect lots of BASS. In support, we’ve got Andrew M from Aussieland dropping some quality Hip-Hop. His crate runs deep, so expect a healthy mix of old school and new school beats. We’ve also got Presha from Meshradio laying down a selection of deep vibes and broken rhythms. 9:30pm onwards @ Lounge. And if you’re feeling a little more electronic sounds – SYNQ Collective hosts their DJs @ Space from 9:30pm onwards.

And it’s the FIRST Ayaschool, well, since Aya has gotten back from her music journey 9:30pm onwards on SATURDAY @ Cafe – Maya features on vox, Tony Mac on Bass, Darren Moore on Drums and special guests: Nikki on sax. Alternate between jazz and the our Reggae cohorts @ Lounge. If you need to chill to a different beat – live bands and DJs

Twilight needs no better accompaniment than the right music. And before you burrow into solitude and that dream land, we offer you Omniform at Blu Jaz Cafe tonight from 9pm onwards. 13 jazz lovers gather once a month and play only original compositions by Greg Lyons will please the discerning ears.

And come TUESDAY, Jake Barden Quartet takes temporarily position @ Space from 8pm onwards. Donate SGD 15 to the boys and you’ll enjoy 2 sets of jazz and get a chance to jam with them till our lovely bartender kicks you out.

Once again, it’s OPEN MIC NIGHT this WEDNESDAY with funny man, Mr Jonathan Atheron, hosting this show. SGD 10 cover will bring you right into Space and the comedians start from 8pm onwards. Be the one in the audience or the one in the limelight, the choice is yours.

Simon graces us with DEEP HOUSE @ Lounge from 8pm onwards this THURSDAY and he promises tunes to ease you into the weekend. And live jazz can be heard wafting through the windows of Cafe from 8:30pm onwards.

It’s a swticheroo with Ayaschool coming in with the fun on FRIDAY from 9:30pm @ Cafe. Featuring Shawn Letts on sax,  Willy on bass and  the talented Mr Wen on drums. If you head up to LOUNGE, you’ll see some familiar faces with the Pushin’On crew TURNING UP THE HEAT. DJs take you to the realm of electronic breaks/hip hop and other great beat. 9:30pm onwards.

Blue Monks take charge on SATURDAY. Get a load of the cool sounds @ Cafe from 9:30pm onwards. With Paul Danial on guitar, Corey on sax, Bani on bass and MohdNoor on drums, this crew will whip up some thrillin’ tunes. A combination and live music and DJ tracks prescribes the mood to chill @ Lounge from 9:30pm onwards with reggae music. Head on up to Space if you feeling our sister country – Thailand – expect popular sing-a-longs and great vibes! 9pm onwards – THAI PARTY!

Katya Sourikova Group -”A modern jazz pianist whose narrative style favours delicate lyricism and a spacious approach to melody” The group was at Blu Jaz tonight, chilling and doing that thing they do….

and keeping it short and sweet. For all you exhibitionists out there or those with a itch to jam with other fine musicians – Matrix Jam is on this Wednesday from 8:30pm onwards @ Lounge.

No itchy fingers? But itchy scratchy feet? Join us for SWING FLING - a night of Lindy Hop with both amateurs and professionals alike – 8:30pm onwards @ Cafe.

Monster Quartet returns with Greg Lyons on sax – friends like Aya, Hiro and Darren join in the music revelry. 9:30pm onwards @ Cafe. And taking up a few notches with funky beats and cool cats show off them moves – GOOD TIMES is here… last Friday of the month -right as clockwork – they be inspiring you to take to the dance floor with all sorts of goody tunes. 9:30pm onwards @ lounge.

Rounding off the weekend before we go on the lazy Sunday break is Ayaschool to keep up the good vibrations. 9:30pm onwards with great jazz @ Cafe. And in SPACE, we present: CU3: The Music – an eclectic mix of urban sounds in chilled house party style atmosphere. The CHROAM boys draw from an eclectic bag of grooves from the 70’s through to the here and now. Rare grooves, Funk, UK garage, deep soulful house, Hip/Hop you’ll find it at all CU3.

Let’s kick off the weekend early with a new face to our neighbourhood: Funkimunkies – an honest to goodness Blues Band – they have been around – Esplanade and the likes, and it’s going to be a cool cats’ night out. 9pm onwards @ Cafe. But if the spoken word speaks to you, head on up to Space from 8pm onwards. Presenting: The Love Slam as Love takes centre stage at February’s Poetry Slam with Arianna Pozzuoli as the Slam Master. This month, poets give their original spin on love over the 3 round competition. The best poets from each round will progress on to the next, with selected members of the audience judging them. Come down and slam, judge or chill over drinks and the spoken word.  The winner of the Slam will take home a $75 cash prize.

Fuze Collective is back with some great tunes and them jazzy jazz (like, duh) and the musicians have no less than the best for you. A nice treat to end the week with, their sounds will rock your world. 9:30pm onwards @ Cafe. Feeling like the boogie got under your skin, Pushin’ On is back  – the last Friday of the month – with the good tunes and great vibes. 9:30pm onwards @ Lounge and Space

It’s a JAZZ JAM with Ayaschool, the gorgeous Nikki Duffell on sax, coolio Jase Sng on bass, nimble Eddy on drums and of course the multi-talented Aya on keys. 9:30pm onwards @ Cafe. And 44 Beats will tempt our feet with some great tech mix and progressive house. 9:30pm onwards @ Lounge. Hutspot Masala brings us an unique musical experience @ Space from 9:30pm onwards. A collaboration between Marcel Heijnen and Wil Kolen translates to a creation improvised ambient-dance music based on raw street recordings and samples. This concept was translated into an exciting and ever changing live set-up as part of the popular Alter Ego parties organised by Chemistry.

yo yo YO! it’s a busy busy start after our long awaited break… if you have missed the awesomeness of Ominform last night – fear not, they be back every FIRST MONDAY of the month – and you betcha that their skillfully weaved harmonics making music kick-a$$.

FRIDAY is a night of promises and delightful anticipation – and after you get your fill of ” M.I.G” feat. Casey(bs/vo), Leo Mendoza(sax), Bashir(keys) and Mhd Noor on drums, we guarantee – you be satisfied. 9:30pm onwards @ Cafe. If you need the sounds of a different tropical island – we throwing a reggae party @ Lounge. 3DJs, 2 Live Bands – we will rock out. 9:30pm onwards

SATURDAY is one of our hottest night with AYASCHOOL at helm for the night’s entertainment. Long time no see stranger – Floods – is back on drums! Anne Weerapaas on vox and Bani on bass. Nuff said. 9:30pm onwards @ Cafe. We have the good people of Dance N Music Studio giving us some original mixes. Their music revels stray to alternative paths and will never bore. Minimal, Tech House, Progressive House will challenge and move – they make that promise. 9:30pm onwards @ Lounge.
