It’s THE night with Good Times giving you their best, not pulling their punches with the presence of a STELLAR CREW! We invite you to our blow out party with the brightest DJs and musicians on our tiny island, who take us dancing and partying and be merry. GOOD TIMES NYE @ Blu Jaz will be a feast of great music, great fun, great people in a great venue. It’s almost like a house party, but better! We’re pulling out all the stops for this New Years. We’re doing one better than last year, by calling back our favourite DJs and bands over the past year, and inviting fresh exciting ones especially for our celebration.

It’s getting close to that time of year – you see it all over Orchard Road – the blinky lights celebrating the birth of Christ and, maybe, for the un-religious – a time to count our blessings – of family and friends – keeping it real. No matter how you choose to celebrate (or not) – there is no judgment. We’re just here, with open doors, a few more glasses of yummy beverages and scrumptious dishes….

Grooveworks show their faces for the last time this year so bring down some gingerbread cookies and share them with these talented and dedicated musicians! Greg leads them with plenty of jazz aplomb, throwing in spirit, music, rhythm left right and center. 9pm onwards @ Cafe

Jitterbugs Swingapore is gearing up for the Christmas Swing on the 24th and we’re pleased to inform that it’s open doors to all. Music Transcends Boundaries – A SMU effort to raise funds for Operation Smile. 7pm – 10pm
Project Cleft is a not-for-profit student-initiated project, led by an independent team of Singapore Management University SMU) Undergraduates, which aims to bring awareness and attention to the plight of children with facial deformities, namely those who suffer from the Cleft Lip/Palates medical condition.
Our objectives are to promote student development through the Malay arts and raise publicity for our beneficiary, Operation Smile, through the sale and promotion of a new and exclusive Malay song album.

The oracle shall answer the question on everyone’s mind. The answer is YES. We are open this Friday with our resident band: The Greg Lyon’s Quartet.
We start the week off with our nocturnal 10 pc in its natural habitat, shaking the timbers and rattling the windows @ Cafe. They start from 9pm and will be bringing in groovy sounds for 2 sets
The band will be Andrew Lim on guitar, Casey Subramaniam on bass, Chris Oldman on drums, Anabel Chew on flute, Fabian Lim on alto sax, Tim O’Dwyer on baritone sax, Greg Lyons on tenor/soprano sax, Fredi Sonderegger on bass trombone, Leo Jeoh on tenor trombone and Dan Wong on trumpet and flugelhorn.
Lila Drums bring bits of Africa to us via a smashin’ Djembe session @ Cafe on the 9th April (thurs) night from 8pm – for those who would like to start off with an alternative week to this wonderful long weekend

Mario Lopez and friends are bringing some latin jazz sounds to our cafe this Saturday (11th April) from 9:30pm. Join them for some wicked melodies and thumpin rhythms. Cafe.
Vocalise Artistes Management is giving us a night of music with a twist – featuring in house talents from their pop, rock and dance classes – these musicians will be incorporating accoustic string instruments with rock music, creating some uptempo sonds. 9pm @ Lounge (2nd Flr) on Saturday
44 Beatz returns for their monthly sounds – April’s Soundscapes is a all about deep, funky, jazzy (obviously) tech house. They’ll take you on a journey through the rhythm’s of detroit, paris and london on a soulful and jazzy blend of works classic and recent. Joining Clark on the decks (and I can’t wait for this) is Raeburn J. Renowned for his deep, soulful funky and indeed Jazzy (theres that word again) sets. Its going to be one ‘goovy salad!’ (his words not mine). Time once again to bob your head and loose yourself to the beats. See you on the dancefloor

DJ of the Night:
DJ Xenon from Germany has been doing sound since 1991 in clubs, festivals and underground parties from Germany, Chile, France, Poland, Hungary to Croatia. His music is a mixture of Groovy House and Minimal with sometimes a touch of Progressive.
From 2000 to 2007, he was broadcasting regularly at a free German radio station, Bermudafunk. As Xenon Projects, he has produced club music from 1998 – 2007, worked along with several artists on ambient/chillout projects and produced dancehall reggae tunes with artists from all over Europe.
