We managed to crawl out and up from the numerous after F1 parties to welcome you back for a sobering but delightful lunch on Monday. And this week, we intend to gift you with a space to nurse your body back to party state just in time for the weekend. So come on down to Blu Jaz – with 5 areas of choice: Cafe/Lounge/Space/Muzium/Potter’s Place – to put your feet up with a few friends.

Good Times teams up with Meshradio to bring you its biggest line-up yet. Headlining is DJ Ramesh, head honcho of Meshradio and a true pioneer of the local underground sound. Expect an unpredictable mix of quality tunes from Singapore’s foremost purveyor of forward-thinking dance music. In support are DJs Joshua P and Kenneth F, Meshradio’s resident champions of Breaks and House. If bass is more your taste, Submerge and Presha will be dropping some low frequency flavour in the form of Dubstep, Drum & Bass and all that good stuff in between till the wee hours of the morn. You bring the good vibes and Good Times will settle the rest. 9pm @ Lounge.

And then comes Saturday and we can’t miss AYASCHOOL! Playing loud and clear from their hearts, these kick-ass musicians add them colors to our cafe and bump up the fun factor by a notch or two. Expect interesting improvisations and good vibes. 9:30pm onwards @ Cafe. And if you’re feeling the mood of some hip hop – join us for Flyin’ Colors. An event that celebrates the re-birth and the timeless, vintage sounds of Hip Hop culture. August 24, 2010

“Remember what Bilbo used to say: It’s a dangerous business, Frodo, going out your door. You step onto the road, and if you don’t keep your feet, there’s no knowing where you might be swept off to.”

Word.

And to be swept off your feet, is that truly an unwelcoming experience, instead anticipate, shiver, for you are alive. Inhale. Take flight.

And we celebrate these heroes – traveling paths of love – commencing with JC Band on THURSDAY @ Cafe from 8:30pm onwards – celebrating their passion of Jazz, kicking some music our way.

And Darryl’s crew take center stage on FRIDAY @ Cafe from 9:30pm onwards. A bonded quintet with Andrew on guitar, Mr Shawn Letts on sax, Jase Sng on bass, the man himself with drums and Joshua Wan on keys – promises a smile to your face. Jah Jah, King of Kings, put together a touch of reggae with few drops of RnB, 10pm at lounge.

And mais bien sur, it’s a night with Ayaschool holding that steady beam, guiding you to home. It’s 9:30pm onwards on SATURDAY @ Cafe with truckloads of rhythms and improv – shake it up! And if you’re feeling the pull of the electronica God, head on up to Lounge where 44 Beats play some mean sets from house to break beats – with just a push over the edge to dance land. 9:30pm onwards. Where the pull is to analog, we offer you gritty rock and roll with Carnation and Pinholes churning out those drum solos and air guitars. 9pm onwards @ Space.

Peace Out, Ya’ll
