This cup is full of surprises and it’s kinda sad that we’re waving off S Korea…. the group of nice(looking) young lads….. However, there are more exciting matches and we continue screening these battles in full volume: Netherlands vs Slovakia tonight and Spain vs Portugal tomorrow.

An unpredictable wind is blowing – the flood downtown resulting in a temporary (muddy) river down Orchard Road, France lost both games and Italy didn’t come up on top…. but luckily things pass and all can be settled and right again…

The events are built around 15 – 20 minute talks on subjects ranging from cutting-edge issues in technology and business to quirky histories, weird science and enriching cultural experiences. Speakers may be leading experts, distinguished hobbyists or simply great story tellers. Interludes between talks are spiced up by carefully curated musical selections. Â 7pm onwards @ SPACE

I’ve always found the word, swarmy, fascinating. The fact that it does not exist makes it more so. However, one has the freedom of coining words while out of the serious literary context. And this week seems to tell of swarmy weather – and in which case, we recommend a glass of iced cool tea – with a punch, if you will.

If you’ve missed our great White Swing Out, don’t worry – we’re still here for our regular Swing Fling nights where ordinary pedestrians turn dancers extraordinare – or at the very least – enthusiastic amateurs.
