Check out the Singapore Poly Jazz Band @ Cafe – playing yr jazz favorites with a fuller and bigger sound. 8:30pm onwards @ Cafe. Eddie plays his final Revival Jam gig this WEDNESDAY before Mr Jeremy Monterio graces us in August. Eddie’s Revival Jam takes a short break so catch him and his crew for some real talent and music to your ears. 9pm onwards @ Cafe.
FunkiMunkees holds court this FRIDAY with great blues – the kind that just go straight to your soul. 9:30pm onwards @ Cafe. Pushin’On takes their last Friday of the month and party on hard. It’s a PLEASE GIVE AS YOU PLEASE - to keep the funk and fun going. The Mighty Mighty plays live and DJs Shellsuit, Chunk, Gonzo and guest DJ Koflow keep us entertain in between. The CHROAM boys draw on their experience of the London club scene to serve up an eclectic mix of sounds from the 70′s through to the here and now. Rare grooves, Funk, UK garage, deep soulful house, Hip/Hop you’ll find it at all. I love Mondays with a bang….a musical sort of bang it is. OMNIFORM performs TONIGHT @ Cafe with original composition by Greg Lyons from 8:30pm onwards. Time is only as important as you make it to be, once gone, it can never be returned…. unless you own a TANDIS but that is neither here nor there. We love end of the month as much as we love the beginning of the month so it’s wonderful that we have a COMBINATION this week.
Join Eddy’s Revival Jam Session on WEDNESDAY @ Blu Jaz Cafe. Tis the night to make merry (and perhaps some sing-a-long or chime in with an instrument or two) They be on stage from 8:30pm onwards, so come on down and be entertained.
Tropic Green plays FRIDAY and this 8 man strong band isagoing to give us some blues, funk, soul, jazz – those yummy tunes that make us Blu Jaz Cafe! 9:30pm onwards @ CAFE. Head on up to Lounge for some GOOD TIMES. Yesssssss 1st Friday of the month will allow us some hearty partaaaayyying. Headlining is UK Dubstep outfit CLEVER MONKEY, with a guest appearance by local multi-instrumentalist/noise-wizard Stewart Bamrah. In support, we’ve got DJs NATE and SIVANESH (from local collective RHOTD) dropping some four to the floor flavour. DJ KRUMBS will be holding it down on the Hip-Hop tip, with a generous serving of head-snapping Funk and Soul on the side. 9:30pm onwards.
Come SATURDAY, you’ll get our regular, punchy, wake up, spiiicceeeyyy sounds of AYASCHOOL. Resident band, diva with the talent, we’re going to see, or rather hear, some fantastic jazz – among other things… 9:30pm onwards @ Cafe.

It’s brand new week and we’re gearing up for some serious fun. ok – not so serious but very amusing fun, marvelous fun, sensational fun.. you get the drift.
This WEDNESDAY - Blu Jaz is pleased to work with UNIFEM to raise awareness against Sex-Trafficking. It’s a rock out with great bands, talented musicians and aspiring poets….. and the names on this list are: Ah5ive. Luke Nicholas Foo, The Cosmic Order, Cindy Try, Catalogue V, The Bakerloo Line and Elyzia… join us at CAFE or SPACE (1st and 3rd Flr) for the live action from 7:30pm onwards.
For the selective ears, we have Jeremy Tordjman & Pals, paired up with MiG, to give us some be-au-ti-ful music. Coming live to you from SPACE (3rd Flr), sweet notes of jazz can be heard. SGD 10 for entry to fabulous sounds (and feed the creative peeps) from 8pm onwards on THURSDAY.
And come FRIDAY, we have Fungki Munkees in da house. That means a night of lovely jazz and blues to take us into the weekend. 9:30pm onwards @ Cafe. And being the last Friday of the month, we have PUSHIN’ON on up @ Lounge and Space: The Mighty Mighty has a starring role together with Pushin’On residents DJ Shellsuit, DJ Chunk, DJ Dave Code & Masterpiece. They be spinning funk, soul, hip-hop, jazz, swing, disco, boogie and rockabilly over 2 floors of Blu Jaz Café. Over in our sister outlet: Piedra Negra, we give a shout out to world music lovers: Worldbeat Soundscape – hosted by DJs will start breathing Nigerian Afro Beats, boisterous beats of Batucada from Favelas of Brazil and Afro-Cuban Jazz from 9pm onwards on the 2nd Flr.
Just when you think you’re all partied out….. it’s SATURDAY and Ayaschool takes stage to get things-a-movin’ again. Pushin’ On presents T Dot to the Little Red @ Lounge and Space cos it’s the last Friday and PAYDAY! Join them and 2 guests from Toronto. Masia One and Deejay L’Oqenz headline this month’s Pushin’On with a 2-hour set of hip-hop, soul, jazz and dancehall. Masia One will kick off with a ‘live’ set of beats and rhymes, including tracks off her latest album, Pulau. Deejay L’Oquenz then takes over the decks and brings a little bit of T Dot flavour to the dancefloor. It’s official – it’s a party!
