No itchy fingers? But itchy scratchy feet? Join us for SWING FLING - a night of Lindy Hop with both amateurs and professionals alike – 8:30pm onwards @ Cafe.
Monster Quartet returns with Greg Lyons on sax – friends like Aya, Hiro and Darren join in the music revelry. 9:30pm onwards @ Cafe. And taking up a few notches with funky beats and cool cats show off them moves – GOOD TIMES is here… last Friday of the month -right as clockwork – they be inspiring you to take to the dance floor with all sorts of goody tunes. 9:30pm onwards @ lounge.
Rounding off the weekend before we go on the lazy Sunday break is Ayaschool to keep up the good vibrations. 9:30pm onwards with great jazz @ Cafe. And in SPACE, we present: CU3: The Music – an eclectic mix of urban sounds in chilled house party style atmosphere. The CHROAM boys draw from an eclectic bag of grooves from the 70’s through to the here and now. Rare grooves, Funk, UK garage, deep soulful house, Hip/Hop you’ll find it at all CU3.

A reflection of 2010 and looking towards the horizon in 2011 – we take all that is good and allow them through our doors. As tradition goes, this is as good as it gets. Omniform performs tonight @ Blu Jaz from 9pm onwards – Greg Lyon leads this group with heart playing original compositions @ Cafe
And if the new year revelry has left you wanting for more, feel free to dance with our Lindy Hoppers on THURSDAY @ Cafe from 8:30pm onwards. It’s Swing Fling and the good people from Jitterbugs are still dancing away!
Aya is double billed this week and we LURRRVEEE it (and her) Pop by and grab a seat @ Cafe from 9:30pm onwards on FRIDAY with Aya and crew for a cool evening of tunes. But if you’re feeling twitchy and need to let your inner child come out to dance – join Good Times @ Lounge from 9:30pm onwards with some soul, funk and progressive house towards wee hours. We’re heading up the spiral and speed is picking up  glorious partying involved. With a smorgasbord of events to choose from, it’s going to be coffee and redbull to see us through workdays! (Bosses – apologies in advance!)
It’s the first WEDNESDAY of the month, we be happy to announce that Matrix Jam IS happening and be you musician or singer, come on up to LOUNGE for a jam session  - hosted by George – it’s jazz, funk and soul from 8pm onwards.
Feeling the itch? You want a Fling? You GOT A fling – Swing Fling that is.. first Thursday of the month sees the lindy hoppers from Jitterbugs school, dressed to the nines and dancing the night away. New to the scene or your feet curious? Well, look for SING for the complimentary demo and then just join in the fray. 8pm onwards @ Cafe
We welcome back Pocket Sessions with Willy giving some sexy on bass on FRIDAY. It’ll be a good good night – no pop, no rock – just the smooth sounds of jazz with loads of soul. 9:30pm onwards @ Cafe. The Good Times party shouts out and you have no choice but to head on up to Lounge where it’s funk lovin’ and groovin’ with DJs and live performances. Jamming. Smoking. Truly. 9:30pm onwards.
And it’s a mid-weekend party with AYASCHOOL and the SATURDAY always delivers… Â fun, heart and excellent sounds – it’s improvisational, eclectic and juicy… all from 9:30pm @ Cafe. Goooooood Morning, Singapore! It’s August and it is indeed a spellbinding month with the magic of Nature while she plays delightful havoc with the weather  bringing us sunny days as well as cool autumn periods, face upturned, reveling in the light drizzle on face and wind through hair.
And we serve you our little picker upper for the start of the work week: Omniform plays TONIGHT @ Blu Jaz and that means you’ll be basking in music glory brought to you by our 13 member group. 9pm onwards @ Cafe. But if you think the next 9 hours are a pain to get through – I’d recommend dropping by yr favorite cafe (like duh) @ 11 Bali Lane for a great lunch set, served to you by Aunty Betty for that extra comfort touch!
Swing Fling presents itself @ Cafe this first THURSDAY of the month, complete with tappers, swingers, flingers (not) and they beckon you over with open arms. Join Sing or Brian for a demo if you’ve not tried Lindy Hop before from 8:30pm but just join the Jitterbugs Dancers on the floor if you just need a dance jam!
Before you know it, the long weekend is upon us and Greg Lyons’ Quartet holds court with snazzy note and crisp playing, weaving soul and joy together through sensational jazz tunes. 9:30pm @ Cafe. If you’re hankering for a groovier beat, it will be hard pressed to find one better than GOOD TIMES - found at Lounge from 9:30pm with a great mix of funk tones and ragin’ hip hop just for you to get your moves on the dance floor. Mix it up with some tribal as we’ve got Lila Drums @ Space with some African drumming from 8pm onwards.

HAPPY SHORT WEEK! Well, applicable to those within four walls from 9 – 6 but we are here for you. We are OPENED as usual so drop by, unwind… and maybe get happy.

We have a MAY special for you on THURSDAYS- presenting Ayaschool of BEE BOP @ Cafe where peeps enjoy 3 solid sets of 100% instrumental Jazz. It’s a beautiful trial in every possible way, myriad of soul, love and talent. Swing Fling brings up the moves a notch as they swing on up to LOUNGE. Showing off Lindy jumps and splits, the Jitterbug dancers are there purely for the love of swing music and dance. Regardless of your level, feel free to boogie on by. And from cool jazz, we welcome Ayaschool on SATRUDAY and her very special brand of music – which is hard to predict but the promise of greatness is always there, be it electro-jazz, funk, soul or experimental. 9:30pm @ Cafe. One hopes that the weekend provided sufficient fun and rest and while the rest of us drones head on back to the 4 walls where our income is generated, our friends are certainly planning a swish, a swoosh and a bang for us this week @ cafe. While we do not have any programs planned for the public today and tomorrow, you’re more than welcome to drop by for an unwinding session with our mojito or a chat with our colleagues working the tables. It’s a full house this mid-week where you can choose to hang with Grooveworks @ Cafe from 9pm onwards for some seriously fun jazz OR head on up to Lounge with Matrix Jam if you’re a musician. Jam session is opened to all jazz loving players (or vocalist) but of course, be polite, give a shout out to George – our organiser for the night. 8:30pm onwards. But if you’re feeling chilled without them rhythm and blues vibe, go right up to SPACE to greet DJ Divine and his lovely REGGAE sets. 9pm onwards.
THURSDAY
It’s another SWING FLING @ Cafe with the crrrraaazzzyyyy Lindy Hop dancers from Jitterbugs. No, tis not a performance but a chance for you to join in this delightful fray.
